To the north-east lies Woodstock, and Zonnebloem to the west, giving residents easy access to both urban amenities and natural spaces. The area is part of the greater Cape Town metropolitan region and is well-connected by local roads and public transport

Upper District Six

Walmer Estate is part of the original District Six, but was always considered a more “upper-class” area.
Gentrification has changed the face of the suburb, and the culture and even the architecture have dramatically changed.

The suburb lies between Woodstock and Zonnebloem, close to the City Bowl on the slopes of Devil’s Peak, with easy access to the N2

The suburb on the slopes of the mountain has views of the city, harbour, and the mountain. It consists of older homes mixed with newer developments. It offers easy access to the City Bowl and major routes. While mostly residential, its central location makes it a convenient base close to cafés, markets, and cultural landmarks in the surrounding neighbourhoods.
