Monte Vista means Mountain View. Table Mountain is visible from many parts of the suburb. It grew as part of the post-World War II suburban boom that characterised much of Cape Town’s expansion during that time. The suburb was carefully planned as a residential area, with a focus on spacious plots, well-maintained homes, and green spaces.
