Water’s edge

Beach in Simon's Town

Water’s edge is near the suburb of Simon’s Town. It may seem a bit like a private beach; however, it’s fully open to the public. It is between Seaforth Beach and Boulders Beach. Enter through the small gate onto the sand. Shady trees line the edge of the beach, and the rock pools are full of interesting marine life.  The area is popular for diving and snorkelling. There are impressive views of the distant mountains.  Swimming at this small beach is safe.

Shells can often be found on this beach, especially after winter storms and low tide. If you plan to collect shells, please follow local regulations and take only empty shells. Shell identification guide
