Miller’s Point Tidal Pool
Miller’s Point Tidal Pool is less sheltered than some of the other tidal pools along the False Bay side; however, it is picturesque and shaped like a heart. There is a slide for children to play on. Bring along goggles and a snorkel so you can see how many creatures make the pool home.
Miller’s Point is on the southern side of the False Bay coastline, just 5 kilometres outside of Simon’s Town (beyond Boulders Beach and Seaforth), along the coastal road that heads towards Cape Point.
Millers Point is a great place to have a braai; portable gas braais are allowed. The gates open at 8.00 and close at 18.00. There is also a boat launching slipway here.
Beware of baboons that can sometimes come and steal food. Feeding them is illegal and very unadvisable. It is best to just pack up and leave – they can be very persistent and aggressive around food. Only dispose of your waste in baboon-proof bins. See guidelines for dealing with baboons
