Milnerton beach

Lagoon Beach is the first beach after Paarden Eiland, about 10 km from the Cape Town City Bowl. Access is from the traffic lights at the intersection of Otto du Plessis Drive (R27) and Lagoon Beach Drive, opposite Boundary Road. The area is enclosed, with Lagoon Beach Drive and Lagoon Gate Drive providing the only access routes.

It is long and relatively flat, with unpredictable waves and currents. Swimming conditions vary and can become dangerous. The nearby lagoon mouth is affected by water quality issues linked to upstream pollution and runoff, and swimming in the lagoon is not recommended.

Parking: Yes If parking is full, many visitors park near Woodbridge Island and walk back.

Surfing: , It is a popular spot for beginners, longboarding, or as an alternative to the busier, more advanced breaks nearby.

Swimming Visitors should pay attention to any warning or no-swimming signs in the area. The next beach north, Milnerton Beach, has lifeguards and a designated swimming area.

Fishing: Fishing is permitted at Lagoon Beach and in the Milnerton Lagoon, and the area is popular with local anglers.
