The Khayalitsha craft project
The Khayalitsha craft project, with a wide range of products, is situated in Harare. There are a few crafters at the Look Out Hill complex.
Site C has the Philani project where weaving and printing is done. There are a few tables outside Vicky’s B&B in Site C as well, Beauty’s sewing school is here too. There is a group of senior citizens doing beadwork who operate from a pre-school building in Site B. Rasta Stone works from his cute little shack, with a wonderful garden, in an informal part of Site B.
There is another craft area with little shops at the Zenzele Training Project in Eyethu, and one in Ilitha Park. Various artists work from these areas, as well as from their homes.
The musicians work from home, and there is a marimba band which operates from the craft market in Harare. Khayalitsha
