Irma Stern Museum
Art Museum in Rosebank
The Irma Stern Museum is the former home and studio of the acclaimed South African artist Irma Stern. Today, it is a vibrant space and part of Cape Town’s art scene, visited by art lovers young and old. In her will, Irma Stern left her collections in trust for the encouragement and promotion of Fine Arts. From this, the Irma Stern Museum was founded so that these collections would be used to further the arts.

Restoration of the museum
The Firs will be properly conserved, restored and sensitive additions designed in order to enhance visitor experience to the museum.
The museum will be closed for 3 to 4 years as this will be a comprehensive undertaking working with heritage architects, HWC and Sahra.
In the meantime the Trustees want an Irma Stern exhibition to travel to main centres in SA to give more exposure to her work.
Funds will have to be found for the house rejuvenation.
