Hersham Beach

Beach at Great Brak River mouth

Hersham Beach is just east of the Great Brak River mouth. There are ideal conditions for swimming. Lifeguards are on duty during holidays and peak season. Dolphins and seals frequent the surf, and Southern Right Whales can often be seen from July to November.

Shells can often be found on this beach, especially after winter storms and low tide. If you plan to collect shells, please follow local regulations and take only empty shells. Shell identification guide
