Sparrebosch beach

Sparrebosch is a a private secluded beach  Knysna

Sparrebosch is a private beach with access via the accommodation in the area. Direct access to Sparrebosch beach is down a steep slope. Swimming and fishing at this secluded beach are good. See the illustrated guide to sea fishing

You can also gain access by taking a hike through a secluded bay past streams and a waterfall. It is a varied walk with forest, mountain, and beach. The first climb is your way back, and it is quite steep with some loose rocks, so the path can be quite slippery. You may encounter small bucks along the way, and birdwatching is great. See this comprehensive Western Cape bird guide.

Shells can often be found on this beach, especially after winter storms and low tide. If you plan to collect shells, please follow local regulations and take only empty shells. Shell identification guide
