The Helderberg Village Golf Course was developed in the late 1980s by an associate of Bob Grimsdell, together with the original Helderberg Village developers. The Golf Club was established in 1989, with the first sponsored competition held in December 1990. Originally a nine-hole course, alternate tees were added in the mid-1990s to create a full 18-hole experience. Today, the course is known for its well-maintained fairways and greens, challenging layout, and scenic views of the Helderberg mountains, False Bay, and Table Mountain.
