Fernkloof Three Dams trail in the Klein River Mountains is quite a steep climb but a short 2km walk through the Fernkloof Nature Reserve.  You will get to an icy dam where swimming is allowed. The reserve boasts wonderful coastal views and magnificent fynbos flora. You can walk along the dam wall where there’s a platform/tower to jump off. There are footpaths to the two other dams. The trail is accessed from a parking area and trailhead on First Avenue (look for the sign “Three Dams”). Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed.
