Durbanville Nature Reserve
Durbanville Nature Reserve comprises endangered Swartland shale renosterveld and Cape Flats sand fynbos.
The six-hectare reserve has about 241 plant species, three endemic to Cape Town and six threatened with extinction. The animal species include birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. Birds found here include the Cape sugarbird, the lesser double-collared sunbird and the Cape spurfowl. The small grey mongoose and angulate tortoise, as well as the vulnerable Cape rain frog, can be heard when it rains..
