Car rental is widely available at the airport and in many Western Cape towns. See our listings. Most car hire companies have local branches. There are also some reliable, smaller independent vendors in the Western Cape. 

Ride-Hailing Services

Uber is a transportation and ride-sharing technology company that allows passengers to book rides and drivers to charge fares and get paid via a smartphone app. It is widely available in Greater Cape Town and in most larger metropolitan areas; availability varies.

Bolt is a taxi alternative for fast, reliable, and affordable rides. The app provides a seamless ride-ordering experience whether you’re commuting, travelling, or running errands.

Railway transport

Local Bus Services

Golden Arrow Bus Services provides commuter bus services throughout a large part of the City of Cape Town metropolitan area and its surrounds.

MyCiti Bus is a reliable and efficient service on selected routes in Cape Town. My Citi also has an airport to Cape Town Civic Centre route.

Minibus Taxis

Air Travel

The main airport is Cape Town International Airport, but there are several smaller airports and airstrips servicing local flights.
