Wilderness Beach, close to the city of George is wide, wild, unspoiled and pet-friendly. The golden sands continue on for more than a kilometre.
The beach is backed onto vegetation-covered dunes dotted with homes looking out across the ocean. Visitors to this unspoiled length of shoreline are likely to find warm waters most days.
This Beach has Blue flag status, it is not very developed and does not have a lot of facilities, the tranquillity here is wonderful for whale and dolphin watching.
Shells can often be found on this beach, especially after winter storms and low tide. If you plan to collect shells, please follow local regulations and take only empty shells. Shell identification guide
