This West Coast Nature Garden is 254 hectares and rich in biodiversity. The dominant vegetation in the area is Atlantis sand Fynbos, which is highly endangered. Upwards of 230 species have been recorded, including 24 in danger of extinction. Small animals, reptiles, and birds also inhabit the area. There are picnic spots in the National Heritage Site. There are also some easy short trails and a 1.5-hour trail walk. Pack a picnic and make a day of it. In addition, the reserve has an important cultural history.
