The St James tidal pool at St James beach is between Muizenberg and Kalk Bay. It is known for its very recognizable colourful beach huts. The retaining walls of the tidal pool form a shallow and safe pool that can be seen from the beach. It is a popular spot for a quick dip before work. During peak season, the pool is quite crowded because of False Bay’s warmer water.
