Sparks Bay
Sparks Bay is just off Clarence Drive and is part of Kogel Bay Beach It is a great picnic site beyond the gravelly entrance, there are picnic tables and a grassed patch. Do watch out for baboons and do not feed them. There is no shade, so bring a hat or umbrella. The beach has a tidal pool and there are ablutions. You can do some fishing off the rocks or just sit and watch for whales during August and September. The site closes at 6 pm.
Shells can often be found on this beach, especially after winter storms and low tide. If you plan to collect shells, please follow local regulations and take only empty shells. Shell identification guide
