Silverstroomstrand
Silverstroomstrand, which means ‘Silver Stream Beach” is a Blue Flag beach, and swimming in the sea is safe. There is a tidal pool where the water is slightly warmer and calm. Surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, fishing, and boating are popular at this beach.
Shells can often be found on this beach, especially after winter storms and low tide. If you plan to collect shells, please follow local regulations and take only empty shells. Shell identification guide
Lifeguards are on duty during the season. There is a boat launching slipway. Fishing here is good. The beach is 3 kilometres long which is ideal for long walks. The views are breathtaking and there is a resort nearby with caravan park bungalows and shaded picnic/braai sites with benches. Toilet facilities are also available.
