Parow golf course is easily accessible and is a great course to play on. It is a flatland (park-like) course that has an abundance of bird life There is a massive dam at the centre of the course. Peacocks, plovers, guinea fowl, hadedas, Egyptian geese, mallards, teal, grouse, pheasant, numerous smaller species, stork, ibis, and even some pelicans make their homes here. The course is a forgiving one with numerous water hazards and a prevailing southeaster wind. The best days to play here, however, are during June and July, with balmy, wind-free, and sunny days..
