Oom Samie se Winkel, meaning “Uncle Sammy’s Shop” is today the oldest shop in Stellenbosch. It is still trading on the same property and in the same building! The store operates the same way now as it did back in the Victorian era. The shop has been a Stellenbosch institution since 1904 and is now a national monument. They offer all sorts of bric-a-brac, handcrafted straw yard brooms, vintage clothing, fruit and veg, and arts and crafts. and delightful foods and other products.
