Mierkom Beach
Beach in Stanford
Mierkom Beach is the access to the Walker Bay Reserve, just west of Stanford. It is lined with dunes of soft white sand. The beach is a great dolphin and whale viewing site. There is of course also the Fisherman’s trail for 4×4 vehicles over the soft sand. .
Shells can often be found on this beach, especially after winter storms and low tide. If you plan to collect shells, please follow local regulations and take only empty shells. Shell identification guide
