Leentjiesklip beach

Beach in Wilderness

Leentjiesklip beach is part of Wilderness main beach and is ideal for the family. It is very spacious and not overcrowded. The beach is stunning and goes on for kilometres, and is great for fishing, kitesurfing, and swimming. However, swim with caution and be safe, as there are not always lifeguards on duty. There are also dangerous sea currents just offshore.

This beach is also known for dolphin and whale sightings!  Pets may not be on the main beach, but there are spots further along where dogs are allowed. There are ablution facilities with showers and braai facilities at the side of the beach that are available for use.  The facilities are well-maintained. Food and ice cream vendors ply their trade along the road.

Shells can often be found on this beach, especially after winter storms and low tide. If you plan to collect shells, please follow local regulations and take only empty shells. Shell identification guide
