The Everard Read Gallery, established in 1913, is Africa’s oldest commercial art gallery and presents modern and contemporary art from South Africa. Our Cape Town galleries have a rigorously curated exhibition programme of South Africa’s top artists.
This well-known gallery at the V&A Waterfront aims to maximise the exposure of fine contemporary painting. The gallery supports a growing group of local artists. The space is also available for hire for events and it can accommodate between 100 and 120 people standing or 80 people seated.
