Dolphin beach

Beach on the West Coast

Dolphin Beach off Marine Drive is a 1-kilometre sandy shore. The beach is great for wind and water sports of all kinds, particularly kitesurfing. Swimming, however, is not safe, as conditions can be dangerous. There are no lifeguards on duty. A boat launch and slipway are available for use on this beach. Dolphin Beach also has partial disability access. Dogs on leashes are allowed. There is a paved pathway along the edge of the beach which is ideal for joggers.

Shells can often be found on this beach, especially after winter storms and low tide. If you plan to collect shells, please follow local regulations and take only empty shells. Shell identification guide
