The Rondevlei Environmental Education Centre is situated in the False Bay Nature Reserve: Rondevlei Section. Rondevlei Learning Centre was established in 2019 and is a registered NPC (2024/453120/08) and PBO with Section 18A registration. We’re on a mission to provide alternate and stimulating forms of education to children struggling with mainstream education.
- Walking Trails – Short and longer routes through wetlands and fynbos. Birdlife and small mammals like grysbok and duiker.
- Canoeing and Fishing – 80-hectare freshwater lake. Canoes available. Fishing is allowed with a permit.
- Visitor Centre – Exhibits on local flora and fauna. Environmental education programmes are offered.
- Picnic and Braai Areas – Designated spots with views over wetlands.
- Wildlife – Grysbok, duiker, genet, tortoise, cobra. 230 Bird species include fish eagle, kingfisher, flamingo and from fynbos and wetland vegetation
