Calitzdorp Spa

Calitzdorp Spa is popular all year round but is traditionally a wintertime getaway. At the source, the water temperature reaches 50 degrees C. The water here has a healing power that has helped many people over the years,  particularly people with sprains, high blood pressure, bruises, and rheumatic complaints.
The Spa has natural rejuvenating mineral water that bubbles up from underground and contains minerals such as iron and manganese. The natural hot spring baths will soothe the stress of modern living, leaving you relaxed.

There is a hot outdoor pool (38C), an indoor Roman Bath (38C) and four private baths (soap & shampoo type). The waters are rich in iron, sulphur, sodium, and calcium, offering potential benefits for skin conditions, joint pain, and muscle relaxation. Calitzdorp Spa/Uhuru Guest Farm contains arsenic, iron, lithium, manganese, nickel, rubidium and strontium.
