Buffels Bay tidal pool
Buffels Bay tidal pool is in the Cape Point Nature Reserve. It is at a relatively sheltered and deserted beach. The tidal pool is great for a dip after a hike. The beach is great for a picnic as there are individual braai spots, running water, and shaded areas. Fires are only allowed in built braai facilities. The area has many animals such as eland, bontebok, Cape mountain zebra, and lots of flora and birds. However, watch out for baboons. There is plenty of parking, and ablutions are available.
Close by is Bordjiesdrif, where you also have access to circular braai facilities, which are better for larger groups. Here, there are grassier areas, whereas the Buffels Bay braai areas are on the sand.
