Bothasig Nature Reserve is an open space with opportunities for outdoor activities including walking, birdwatching, and plant identification in this 10-ha space. The park contains Critically Endangered Cape Flats Sand Fynbos. This important reserve forms part of the biodiversity network and links up with the Plattekloof Heritage Site, De Grendel wine farm and Tygerberg Hills. The park is cared for by local residents and the Bothasig Rovers.
