Bollard Beach Knysna is a great family-friendly beach. It is safe for swimming, there are no crashing waves and the water is shallow.  The main beach on Leisure Island is Bollard Bay and this beach offers plenty to do. When the tide is high you can swim, fish, canoe, or sail. At low tide, pump for prawns to use as bait or walk across the sand as far as the KnysnaHeads.

Shells can often be found on this beach, especially after winter storms and low tide. If you plan to collect shells, please follow local regulations and take only empty shells. Shell identification guide

The beach has beautiful, soft white sand and fantastic views of the Knysna Heads. The beach is never crowded. Bollard Beach is the perfect spot for a picnic and it is also pet-friendly.

There are no facilities or services at the beach.
