These are beekeepers who relocate honeybee swarms. Most will not remove wasps—phone rather than message.

Do not spray bees with insecticide unless there is immediate danger. Relocation is preferred and protects local pollinators.

What To Do If You Find a Bee Swarm

  • Keep a distance (at least 10 metres)
  • Keep children and pets inside
  • Do not throw water, stones, or objects
  • Do not use Doom, insect spray, or fire
  • Close nearby windows and doors
  • Phone a beekeeper — most swarms move within 24–72 hours

When Bees Are Dangerous

Call urgently if:

  • Bees enter a house or a roof
  • Someone is allergic
  • The swarm is in a school or public space

If Someone Is Stung

  • Move away from the swarm immediately
  • Remove visible stingers (scrape, don’t pinch)
  • Wash with soap and water
  • Apply a cold compress
  • Seek medical help if swelling spreads, breathing difficulty, dizziness, or many stings occur

  • Important note

  • Honeybees are protected pollinators and vital for fruit, vegetables and fynbos ecosystems. Most removals involve relocation, not extermination.
