The Whispering tree at Voelroepersfontein is on the grounds of number 4 George street  Which is a guesthouse in Albertinia. It is a magnificent tree, a Ficus Burkei (common wild fig) This tree has been awarded  “ South African Champion Tree status by the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Nobody knows how old the tree is it must be a great age. It is certainly a spectacular specimen.
