The Napier Toy Dockyard

The Napier Toy Dockyard is a private collection dedicated to hand-crafted toy boats, model ships and antique toys. Many of the vintage and tinplate toys have been carefully restored on site. The collection is housed in a rustic old farm shed that has been converted into a small museum behind the home of Alan Raubenheimer, a local craftsman who owns and runs the project and builds and restores many of the pieces himself. The Toy Dockyard is open by appointment only, as it is a private collection, so visitors must arrange a viewing with Alan before arriving. A small admission fee applies.
