Tergeniet Beach
Tergniet Beach is a popular beach for families with safe swimming and a tidal pool. There are lifesavers on duty during the December and January holidays. It is possible at low tide to walk from Hartenbos to Tergeniet. Southern Right Whales are frequently seen from July to November.
Shells can often be found on this beach, especially after winter storms and low tide. If you plan to collect shells, please follow local regulations and take only empty shells. Shell identification guide
. Dogs are allowed. During the period from 1 December to 31 January, in the demarcated areas between the hours of 05:00 and 08:00 in the mornings and 18:00 and 20:00.
