Outeniqua Beach is also called Outeniqua Strand. The name Outeniqua in the ancient local language means ‘the land where honey comes from’.  The beach is divided into four separate swimming areas. and it spans some six kilometers. The water is relatively warm

. It is ideal for kite-surfing during the summer months. Visitors can enjoy watching dolphins and seals all year round. Between July and December, southern right and humpback whales visit the area, Occasionally, orcas join in.

Shells can often be found on this beach, especially after winter storms and low tide. If you plan to collect shells, please follow local regulations and take only empty shells. Shell identification guide

There is plenty of parking with, several different entry points to the beach  Ablutions are available for visitors.
