Mouille Point Beach

Mouille Point Beach is also known as Granger Bay. There is lots of street parking and good views of Robben Island. There are benches for you to relax and watch the world go by. Off the Wall is a surf spot where the wave breaks off the point. These waves are for more advanced surfers. It is quite a challenge to get to the good waves, you need to paddle through kelp and rocks. It can be inconsistent, but when the conditions are right, it’s a short, sharp, take-off and then you’re into a thrilling hollow barrel.

Shells can often be found on this beach, especially after winter storms and low tide. If you plan to collect shells, please follow local regulations and take only empty shells. Shell identification guide

There are great coffee shops in the vicinity.
