Mosselbank beach in Paternoster

Mosselbank Beach is spectacular. The white sand extends well into Voorstrand. The colourful little fishing boats and deep blue sea make one want to give it all up and just stay forever. There is also Bek Bay at the southwestern end of the beach which is truly magnificent. The other end of the beach ends in the Eerste Mosselbank to the north of the village. The southwestern headland of the beach is also beautiful and relatively quiet. The beach is perfect for long walks away from the weekend crowds.

Shells can often be found on this beach, especially after winter storms and low tide. If you plan to collect shells, please follow local regulations and take only empty shells. Shell identification guide
