The Round House
Lord Charles Somerset used the area around Camp’s Bay for hunting and used the Roundhouse as his lodge. It was built in 1848. It was originally a completely round structure. There was a time when it was a hotel; it burned down in 1860 and again in 1923, but has been fully restored. Today, it is an exclusive restaurant. There is a tour of the building, which is a national monument; the tour includes stories of the area and the original occupants.
