Helderberg farm
Helderberg farm/plaas Is a rustic working farm, famous for its deliciously sweet strawberries. There is masses of open space which is a popular spot for mountain biking and hiking. Children can bring their scooters, push bikes, and balls to enjoy the extensive lawns. There is also a petting farm. Well-behaved dogs are welcome. There are 4×4 and viewpoint routes, a play park for toddlers, and a paintball and Laser Quest for older children. The tea garden and kiosk serve coffee and light meals. In winter Die Stal offers indoor seating with a cosy fireplace. Granny’s Forest is a magical spot for picnics and braais (booking essential) Permits are required for hiking and bike riding and there is a small fee for a braai area.
