• Red bus: This bus makes 11 stops. It is the quickest way to the Table Mountain cable car station.
• Blue bus: This bus takes passengers on tours of the whole peninsula.
• Yellow bus: The yellow bus travels through the city of Cape Town. The route focuses on historical landmarks and museums.
• Purple bus: This bus tours the Constantia Winelands.

Hop on Hop off Bus Routes

• A circular route, about 90 minutes, with key stops like the V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain Cableway, Camps Bay, Green Point, and Long Street.
• Runs roughly every 30 minutes from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
• Best for first-timers and getting your bearings around Cape Town.

Blue Mini Peninsula Tour (Scenic Nature & Coast)

• About 2 hours 15 minutes long with around 14 stops, including Kirstenbosch Gardens, Hout Bay, and the Atlantic Seaboard.
• Runs every 20 minutes from about 9:00 am to 3:40 pm.

Ticket Options

• Classic 1-Day Ticket – Gives access to Red, Blue, and Purple routes plus free walking tours.
• Premium 2-Day or Mega Pass – Includes everything in the Classic ticket plus extras like a Harbour or Canal Cruise. The sunset tour is usually an add-on.

Children between the ages of 5 and 15 receive a free one-day classic bus ticket on their birthday. (Plus, they can also bring along one friend for free on the day). The party must be accompanied by at least one adult riding at full price. Register your child at least two weeks before the birthday to receive the ticket via email. The ticket will be valid for four weeks, One week before and three after the date.

Cape Point now has its own dedicated “Red Bus”. The Cape Point Explorer is a full day’s excursion with an English-speaking guide aboard a luxury air-conditioned coach, featuring a drive through picturesque Muizenberg, Fish Hoek and a visit to Boulders Beach with its famous colony of African penguins. The tour then continues to Cape Point, with an optional hike to the Cape of Good Hope headland.
