Magpie art collective was established as a Studio in 1998 by Cape Craft Icon Scott B. Hart and Social Entrepreneur Shane A. Petzer (Ashoka Fellow). In 2003 Magpie relocated from Cape Town to Barrydale. In 2006 Fine Artist Sean Daniel and Administrator Richard Panaino joined to expand the Studio into the MagpieArtCollective
